Sawtooth Salmon Festival
The evening before the Sawtooth Salmon Festival, there will be a lecture by Steve Hawley, author of Recovering a Lost River, at the Stanley Museum at 5:00pm and Redfish Center at 8:00pm. This lecture, about salmon recovery, is a nice lead-in to the Sawtooth Salmon Festival,
The following day, August 24th, from 10:00 am to 9:00pm, the annual Sawtooth Salmon Festival, sponsored by Sawtooth Association/SIHA and Idaho Rivers United, begins with the Shoshone Banock blessing of the Salmon. There will be educational booths, live music throughout the day, and Salmon spawning tours, free to the public. In the evening, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, there will be a wild salmon dinner.
